Brass sea kelp earrings - hand made in Cornwall by Stuff Made from Things

Faye  uses a textured hammer on the raw brass leaving the surface with a bubbled finish that echoes the organic shapes of seaweed, the undulation and gentle facets really capture the light at you move.

The earrings are raw brass, measuring approximately 6.5cm and hung on gold plated ear wires.

Brass hates moisture! With time brass does patina but it can be bought back to a shine with Brasso and a soft cloth or they can be covered in tomato sauce for a few minutes then washed clean and throughly dried.

All pieces are individually made by me in my studio and a pottery in West Cornwall.

I have made Stuff Made From Things jewellery for over a decade and an half and enjoy using metals, hammering textures and creating stories with the jewellery. I use predominantly brass which has already typically been recycled 9 times before I work on it, it is an infinitely recyclable material, as is the sterling silver I use.
